VIDEOS: Sportsmen urge Pakistan to go out and vote on July 25

LAHORE: Sportsmen, including cricketers, a hockey player, squash champion, wrestler and boxer, urged people of Pakistan to go out and vote on July 25.

In their video messages on social media, the sports personalities have asked the masses to vote for whatever party they want, but do vote.

Right-handed batsman Mohammad Hafeez, in a video message, said: ” I, Muhammad Hafeez, request the people to fulfil their national duty on July 25, 2018, and vote for the party of their choice, but do vote.”

Former Pakistan cricket player Yasir Hameed also asked the masses to “do come out” and vote on July 25. “Please change the destiny of Pakistan by voting to the right person”.

Pakistan’s hockey legend Samiullah, in his video message, said: “On July 25, we must go and cast our vote to the proper person for the safety of Pakistan”.

Professional wrestler Muhammad Inam Butt said in his message” Cast your vote to the party or person you think is good for future of Pakistan because this election will decide the fate of this country.”

Pakistani-origin British boxer Amir Khan said: “People must go out and vote on July 25 and let’s all make Pakistan a better place”.

Young squash champion Ahsan Ayaz in his message said that everyone should vote on election day as per their judgement because a greater turnout will let people elect better leadership for Pakistan.

Earlier, on his Twitter handle, legendary left-arm fast bowler Wasim Akram wrote: “It was in your leadership skip that we became world champions in 1992. It is in your leadership that we can again become a great democratic country. #voteforkapatan#nayapakistan”.

Former Pakistan cricket team head coach and fast bowler Waqar Younis wrote: “You have got what it takes Skipper but it will take everything you have…No one can doubt your Honesty and that’s what is required in our country…An honest LEADER
