PESHAWAR: At least seven people including six members of a same family were killed and two others injured when armed men traded fire over children clashing in the suburbs of provincial capital.
Police said that the incident took place in Mera Sadozai area of Peshawar where children clashed during playing and elders also jumped into the fight.
An exchange of hot words took place which turned violent after which the two sides started firing at each other.
In the cross-firing, four people were killed on the spot with five others were critically injured. Three among the injured succumbed to their wounds while being shifted to hospital and two others are under treatment in critical condition.
The police after registering a case against the armed men of the two clashing groups have started raids for their arrest.
