Farhan Saeed requests Pakistanis to not take country’s future for granted

With the elections only a couple of hours away, tension and excitement levels are soaring considering their significance in the country’s future.

Pakistani celebrities are also playing their roles in the upcoming elections by spreading awareness and encouraging people to vote. Actor-singer Farhan Saeed, who also composed the election song for the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf is also an active campaigner and has been requesting people to go out and vote.

In a recent tweet, Saeed expressed his disappointment in his fellow Pakistani citizens — celebrities or otherwise — who have chosen to fly out of the country ahead of the general elections tomorrow.

“All the people from my fraternity & otherwise travelling abroad at such a crucial time is so heart-breaking. Please let’s not take our country’s future for granted. #Elections2018 #PakistanElections,” read his tweet.

While the singer took no names, it is likely that his message is directed towards his colleagues who have flown out to Canada to rehearse for the Hum Awards, scheduled to take place in Toronto this Saturday.

Mahira Khan, Shaz Khan, Kubra Khan, Mikaal Zulfiqar, Hania Aamir, Yasir Hussain and Hareem Farooq are among the host of celebrities who have flown out of the country to participate in the awards.
