KARACHI: Sindh Police, in a report issued on Monday, announced the arrest of 41 criminals, including 10 absconders and 14 wanted culprits, during different encounters around the province.
Six pistols along with 15 rounds and four repeaters besides cell phones and motorcycles were also retrieved from their possession.
According to details Karachi Police, in its exercise against offenders, apprehended 14, including two absconders, and recovered mobile phones as well as motorcycles from them.
Hyderabad Police was reported to have conducted different raids in its jurisdiction and arrested two absconders and a wanted criminal.
Mirpurkhas Police had nabbed five absconders during series of raids in the district while Sukkur Police arrested 13 wanted criminals and absconders.
A Sindh Police spokesman said that required investigations are underway and more arrests are expected on the basis of information collected from the arrested goons.
Special teams have been formed with assigned tasks, he said, adding that all chances exist to quash notorious gangs active in different parts of the province.
Meanwhile, Sindh IGP Amjad Javed Salimi has directed concerned officers to expedite action against malefactors at police range/district and zone levels with equal attention to apprehend facilitators of the criminals and their agents.
