DALBANDIN: As many as 20 people were injured in a blast that took place at an electoral office of the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) here on Sunday.
According to the police, the blast resulted in a hand grenade attack. However, no one has claimed the responsibility for the explosion.
All 20 injured persons were admitted to the nearby hospital. Police and levies officials cordoned off the blast site and initiated a search operation in the surrounding areas.
Reports from the rescue sources said that four of the critically injured people were referred to hospitals in Quetta for medical treatment.
It is worth mentioning that on July 13, in the deadliest attack on election campaigning, a suicide bomber killed more than 131 people and injured 150 others at an election rally in Balochistan’s Mastung. BAP candidate Siraj Raisani was also among the dead victims.
