31-member team summit K2 in a first this summer

GILGIT: The world’s second highest and most dangerous peak, The k2, has been ascended by a 31-member team of mountain climbers after a two-month struggle.

Team members include China’s Jianjonh Li and Changjuan He, Ireland’s Noel Hanna, Pakistan’s Muhammad Ali Sadpara, Imtiaz Sadpara, Fida Ali and Ali Musa, Japan’s Yoshiharu Nakamura and Naoko Watanabe, Mongolia’s Gangaamaa Bada­mgarav, Mexico’s Viri­diana Alvarez Chavez, Switzerland’s Sophie Lavaud, Dimarescu from the United States (US), Marek Novotony from Czech Republic, Belgium’s Paul Hegge and Min­gma Gyabu Sherpa, Chhiji Norbu Sherpa, Dawa Gyal­jen Sherpa, Lhakpa Temba Sherpa, Krishna Thapa Magar, Pemba Thinduk Sherpa, Ngima Thenduk Sherpa, Ngima Dorchi Sherpa, Dawa Sangay Sherpa, Lhakpa Nuru Sherpa, Pastemba Sherpa, Mingma Tenjen Sherpa, Furba Ongdi Sherpa, Gheorghe and another climber from Nepal.
