LAHORE: In a meeting between Home Minister Shaukat Javed and a delegation of the conglomerate of religious seminaries, led by Qari Hanif Jallandhury, here on Friday, the Punjab home department assured clerics of correcting the Fourth Schedule to exclude the scholars from the list containing names of those who may cause law and order issue in the province.
Minister Javed also assured the visitors that help would be extended in recognising seminaries as educational institutions, removing hurdles to register them and making the procedure for allowing them to collect sacrificial animals’ hides easier.
The minister also directed the home department, police and the CTD in attendance to come up with a unanimous seminary registration form.
