PESHAWAR: Part of the Heritage Train project was damaged during an explosion due to the accumulation of gas in the sewerage line.

Windowpanes of nearby houses were shattered and pavement bricks of the route were uprooted, causing panic in the public.

According to Directorate of Archaeology and Museums Research Officer Nawazuddin, accumulation of gas in the sewerage line caused the explosion. He vowed that a thorough investigation over the incident would be conducted.
