KHOSA VS KHOSA:

Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa has been contesting the elections since 1962 till now and remains undefeated while Sardar Amjad Farooq Khan Khosa has been elected as a member of the National Assembly three times and faced three defeats in his career.

Politically, this constituency is facing an extremely interesting situation because there are no ideological voters here but for power, it is being played as a chess game. Before leaving the PML-N platform, Sardar Amjad Khosa was awarded tickets of two NA seats, NA-189 and NA-190, by the PML-N leadership. Sardar Amjad Khosa decided to leave the NA-189 seat and focus all his attention on NA-190.

A close associate of Amjad Khosa told Pakistan Today that they got less time to contest elections in both the constituencies. Amjad Khosa has completed record developments in this area, he added.

Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa is a seasoned politician. Asif Ali Zardari tried to win over Sardar Zulfiqar Khosa and visited DG Khan last October but Zulfiqar Khosa rejected the move. After 1970, Sardar Zulfiqar Khosa is now contesting election from this constituency. Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khosa has smartly influenced local heavyweight groups and most of them have announced their support for him.

Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP) candidate Sardar Irfanullah Khosa and Ghulam Mustafa Lashari from Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) are also contesting from this constituency but the actual competition is expected between the Khosa cousins. According to the public circles, both the sides are strong.
