Rain-thundershower likely at isolated places, hot humid weather to grip other parts

ISLAMABAD: Rain-thundershower with gusty winds is expected at isolated places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Balochistan, FATA, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan while hot and humid weather to continue elsewhere

in the country during next 24 hours.

Rainfall is likely in Malakand, Hazara, Mardan, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Multan, D.G Khan, Bahawalpur, Zhob, Kalat, Mirpurkhas divisions,  Islamabad, FATA, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan during this time span.

Seasonal Low lies over Northwest Balochistan. Weak monsoon currents from Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal are continuously penetrating upper and central parts of the country and likely to continue during next 48 hours, an official of Met office told APP.

Rain-thundershower with gusty winds occurred at isolated places in Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Sahiwal, D.G.Khan, Quetta, Zhob, Kalat, Malakand, Peshawar, Mirpurkhas divisions and Kashmir. The weather remained hot and humid in most parts of the country.

Rainfall recorded during this time span remained: Punjab: Malakwal 77mm, Lahore (A/P 29mm, PU 11mm, City 01mm), Sahiwal 14mm, Sialkot (Cantt) 09mm, Sargodha (City 09mm, AP 01mm), Kasur 09mm, Okara 06mm, Chakwal 04mm, D.G.khan 02mm, Murree, Bahawalnager 01mm, Balochistan: Barkhan 22mm, Khuzdar 06mm, Lasbella, Dalbandin 01mm, KP: Peshawar (City 20mm, AP 08mm), Cherat 17mm, Risalpur 13mm, Malamjabba 03mm, Dir 02mm, Sindh: Nagerparker 02mm and Kashmir: Kotli 01mm.

Maximum temperature recorded on Thursday remained: Dalbandin, Turbat 44°C, Sibbi 43°C,

Multan 40°C, Quetta 38°C, Lahore 37°C,  Chitral, Hyderabad 36°C, Peshawar,  Faisalabad 35°C, Muzaffarabad 34°C, Karachi, Islamabad 33°C,  Gilgit 32°C and Murree 23°C.
