PTI activist injured in firing incident in Karachi

KARACHI: An activist of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was injured in a firing incident in Quaidabad area of the city in the wee hours of Thursday.

According to police sources, 35-year-old Rehmat Ali, son of Ahmad Ali,  was injured when an armed man, Anwar Ali opened fired at a PTI office near Dawood Chowrangi in Landhi.

The attacker, Anwar Ali was said to be a member of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), who fled after the incident. Police registered a case and started further investigation. The police recovered a submachine gun and two magazines from the spot.

The injured was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for treatment.
