ISLAMABAD: The interior ministry issued a notification giving 71 properties under the Islamabad Metropolitan Corporation’s (MCI) supervision.
MCI will also be able to utilise the properties.
Before the local government elections, the properties were being supervised by the Capital Development Authority (CDA).
Chief Metropolitan Officer (CMO) Syed Najaf Iqbal said, “This is a big development; now the MCI has its legitimate right to utilise these properties and assets.”
“MCI is the custodian of these properties now and we can utilise them as per the Local Government Act of 2015,” he added.
