RAWALPINDI: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has been provided with facilities in Adiala jail after his brother Shehbaz Sharif’s protests, a local media outlet reported on Monday.

According to Shehbaz, Nawaz was not provided with facilities despite his request for B-class jail facilities approved by the Punjab government.

A television set, newspaper, mattress and a servant were then provided to the former prime minister.

His daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law captain (r) Safdar are also imprisoned in Adiala jail but in different barracks.

While Safdar has been provided with B-class facilities, Maryam refused to receive any of the facilities provided under the category.
