PESHAWAR: The Counter Terrorism Department, (CTD) Hazara region on Monday claimed to have arrested two terrorists who were allegedly involved in the killing of 16 passengers from Gilgit-Baltistan on sectarian grounds in February 2012 on Karakoram Highway (KKH).
In a statement issued here, the CTD identified the two accused as Tariq and Dastargir, who belong to Gilgit-Baltistan.
The CTD claimed that the accused had shot dead 16 passengers of Shia community on February 28, 2012, on KKH after intercepting four buses, off-loading the passengers and identifying Shia passengers by checking their CNICs.
The CTD further said that five accused of the incident were arrested earlier and being tried in an anti-terrorism court.
