Cylinder blast kills 3, injures 25 in Multan

MULTAN: At least three people were killed, whereas 25 were injured when a cylinder exploded in a building in Gulshan market area of Multan.

It was further reported that glass of nearby buildings was broken and cars were damaged in the blast.

Moreover, the roof of a building also collapsed as a result of the cylinder explosion.

Rescue teams have reached the site and stated that some people are still inside the building.

The injured have been shifted to hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, Punjab Caretaker Chief Minister Dr Hasan Askari has taken notice of the blast and directed the administration to provide best healthcare facilities to the injured.

In a message issued here, the chief minister expressed a deep sense of sorrow over the loss of precious human lives and extended his sympathies to the heirs of those who died in the explosion.

He sought a report of the incident as well.
