‘Pepsi Battle of the Bands’ (Pepsi BOB) has given us bands like Aaroh and EP in the first season; Kashmir and Badnaam in the second; and now as the new season is here, we are very excited to see who the competition will introduce us to this time around.
Last week the promo was Pepsi BOB season 3 was launched where we saw the show’s judges perform with Kashmir and Badnaam to their popular songs ‘Kagaz ka Jahaz’ and ‘Kala Jora’ respectively. Not only that, we were introduced to the newest members of the judges’ team our beloved Strings as the promo is rounded off with Strings’ 2003 World Cup track ‘Hai Koi Hum Jaisa’.
As soon as the TVC was launched, everybody went crazy as we saw heartthrob Fawad Khan perform with Kashmir and the gorgeous Meesha Shafi with Badnaam. Following this, the audience could not contain their excitement and anticipation for the newest season of the show as we gear up to get introduced to some new talent from across the country.
As Pepsi BOB released the first episode of the new season on Saturday, it was observed that within few hours of its release, the episode was taken down from YouTube in solidarity with the victims’ of the recent terror attack in Mastung. While the nation was going crazy upon reporting Nawaz Sharif’s arrival, they failed to highlight the attack on broadcast media. Thus, this was appreciated by the people nationwide.
Prior to the episode being taken down many managed to catch the episode, these people took to their social media to react to what we have in store for us this time.
Here are few reactions we gathered from Twitter, as people reacted to the promo and the episode itself.
The first season gave us Aaroh & EP
