LAHORE: A candidate running for Lahore’s NA-125 has adopted a rather strange slogan during electioneering. It reads: “Thori rishwat, kaam ziyada. Wazir-e-Azam, Amber Shahzada!” (Less bribes, more hard work. Our prime minister will be Amber Shahzada).”

Nawab Amber Shahzada, chairman of the Aap Janab Sarkar Party, refers to himself as the “Alternative Prime Minister of Pakistan” on his twitter page and claims he will legalise corruption if his party comes into power.
This is a time when three-time prime minister Nawaz Sharif has been convicted and jailed for financial corruption while all the political parties consider corruption as one of the biggest issues with the country.

The aspirant has contested and lost 41 elections in his political career spanning 29 years.
Shahzada’s election symbol is ‘spoon’ and he has invited all candidates who didn’t get tickets or independent to join him so he can win the election and form a government with them.
