MULTAN: Police in Muzaffarabad have yet to submit a complete challan two years after the murder of social media celebrity Qandeel Baloch.

Relatives of Baloch and her brother Waseem are currently imprisoned for their involvement in the murder. However, Arif and Aslam, her other two brothers, are out on bail.

On the other hand, Mufti Qavi, who was arrested over the case in October, 2017 received a bail approximately a month later. Qavi is known to have given a polygraph test in custody.

Police officials say that during custody, Qavi claimed that the owner/driver of the vehicle that transported the murder suspects Waseem and Nawaz to and from Multan was his cousin Abdul Basit.

He also said that his close associate Mohammad Nawaz owned the house in Multan where Qandeel lived.

Qandeel was strangled to death by her brother Muhammad Waseem and cousin Haq Nawaz in the name of ‘honour’ in July 2016, weeks after posting selfies with Qavi on social media.
