JKLF chief Yasin Malik arrested again

ISLAMABAD: Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik has been arrested again by the Indian forces on Sunday.

The JKLF chief, along with party leaders Mushtaq Ajmal and Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri, was lodged at Sangam police station in Islamabad district. He was released yesterday after 10 days of illegal detention.

Meanwhile, All Parties Hurriyat Conference Syed Ali Gilani Chairman and Hurriyat Forum Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq have also condemned the loss of innocent lives in recent terrorist attacks in Pakistan.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Syed Ali Gilani, in a statement issued in Srinagar, said that the attacks are a well-thought-out plan to malign Pakistan, which faces multiple problems and cross border terrorism.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said that the pain of losing loved ones can well be felt by Kashmiris who see the dance of death at the hands of Indian forces in the occupied territory on daily basis. The leaders extended heartfelt condolences to the Pakistani government and the people.

Delegations of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Mirwaiz-led Hurriyat Forum, Tehreek-e-Mazahmat, Muslim Conference, Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League, Salvation Movement and International Forum For Justice visited the residences of martyrs in Kulgam, Islamabad, Baramulla and other parts of the territory to express solidarity with the families of recent victims of Indian brutalities.

Meanwhile, the Kashmir Working Journalist Association and Kashmir Journalist Association, in their joint statement, took a strong note of the summoning of a Srinagar-based journalist Aaqib Javed by the India’s National Investigative Agency to New Delhi for questioning. They termed the move as intimidation and harassment of Kashmiri journalists.

On the other hand, British Kashmiris, including men, women and children, took out a rally at Victoria Square in Birmingham to pay tribute to all Kashmiri martyrs including the victims of July 1931. Addressing the participants Professor Nazir Ahmad Shawl reiterated that the supreme sacrifices of the Kashmiri martyrs would be honored at all costs.
