ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) allowed the Interior Ministry to place Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s close aide Zulfikar Bukhari’s name on the Exit Control List (ECL).

The court stated, “It is needless to observe that [the interior ministry] shall be at liberty to take appropriate action in accordance with the law on the application of [NAB] for placing the name of petitioner on ECL.”

At present, Bukhari is in-charge of Khan’s campaign in NA-53.

Moreover, the court observed that the National Accountability Bureau was conducting an inquiry against Bukhari pertaining to allegations that he set up offshore companies in the British Virgin Islands.

Earlier, Bukhari’s name had been removed from the Blacklist.
