LAHORE: Political advertisement rules of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has negatively impacted printing business ahead of the general elections, a local media outlet reported on Saturday.
Many of the 28,000 panaflex printing machines installed in Lahore with millions of investment are now facing problems. Due to size restrictions of banners set by the ECP, candidates are opting for smaller ones but in the same quantities. This has impacted revenue by a considerable margin.
While paper paper printing business is in decline at the moment, a businessman explained that small-size sticker manufacturers are thriving, hinting at a shift in demand.
