LAHORE: Unknown persons on Sunday burnt posters and banners of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in Lahore’s NA-131 constituency.
The incident took place on an overhead bridge near Walton Road where fire set the advertisement banners ablaze to ashes. The fire also damaged fiber attached to the bridge.
VIDEO:
Pedestrians near the overhead bridge were terrorised by fire. A number of people witnessed the incident as political workers of both the parties tried to extinguish the flames on their own.
Police officials took notice of the incident and launched an inquiry.
Another video surfaced on social media in which PML-N supporters and workers held a rally on the streets of Ferozwala. They had painted a PTI flag on donkeys carrying lotas as they chanted slogans against the party leadership and against political turncoats.
They were also parading a dog with stickers and banners of PTI on the road.
