CTD arrests terrorist with Rs0.5m head bounty in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: The counter-terrorism department (CTD) arrested a wanted terrorist with Rs0.5 million head bounty during a raid in the provincial capital on Saturday.

The CTD sources said that on an intelligence tip-off regarding presence of extremist, the operation was conducted at Kohat Road in Peshawar. During operation, a terrorist wanted by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) police in several cases and having a head bounty of 500,000 rupees were arrested.

The detainee had killed a provincial member Fareed Khan in 2013.

The detainee was shifted to an undisclosed location for further investigation.
