India has inaugurated office of “Free Baluchistan” at New Delhi on 23 June 2018. A ceremony was held to inaugurate the office, which was attended by around 50 Indians. Reportedly, the office will be run by Dr Naila Baloch to authenticate and accelerate “Free Balochistan Movement” (FBM). RAW will arrange seminars at the office and invite foreign journalists and diplomats will be invited to highlight the so called “atrocities of Pakistan in Balochistan”. The inauguration of the office materialised after meeting of BJP’s ex MLA, Mr Vijay Jolly with a delegation of “Free Baluchistan Movement” (FBN) at London during May 2018. FBM activists discussed Pakistan’s (alleged) interference in Kashmir and impacts of CPEC on the region and Indian delegation agreed to accelerate their support.

Naela Quadri Baloch was on born July 18, 1965 in Quetta, Balochistan. She is a Baloch politician, activist for women’s rights, author and poet. Her pedigree fits the profile for being exploited by vested interests for denigrating Pakistan and stoking the fires for “liberating Balochistan.” She has been launched to deliver fiery lectures on Baloch rights. Being the daughter of Syed Ahmad Quadri, a well-known lawyer and activist for Baloch national rights and Bibi Gul Zarina, who is also an activist for women’s development, and founder of the first indigenous NGO in Balochistan, Naela Quadri professes being a legitimate activist for the right of the Baloch.

Professor Naela is married and is the mother of three sons. One, Mazdak Dilshad Baloch, lives in self-imposed exile in Canada. She is the founding member of Hind Baloch Forum in India, which organised its first seminar in Agra. She became more vocal after Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered his infamous 2016 speech astride the ramparts of Delhi’s Red Fort in which he declared solidarity for the Baloch. Readers may recall that India had exploited the grievances of the Bengalis in 1971 and goaded them to insurrection and rebellion, breaking away from Pakistan and forming Bangladesh. Modi has even admitted in a speech delivered on the floor of the Bangladesh parliament that India had carried out the heinous task of severing erstwhile East Pakistan and Modi was a foot soldier in the conspiracy. He gloated over the fact that India created the Bengali guerrilla force Mukti Bahini while he himself fought alongside them. Now Modi is trying to repeat history and instigate the Baloch to insurgency and insurrection.

There are numerous Baloch self-styled activists, who are eager to carry out the dirty deeds for India and its infamous spy agency RAW. People like Naela Quadri have jumped on the bandwagon. Commander Kulbhoshan Jadhav, the Indian RAW operative, sang like a canary, giving details of the modus operandi of recruiting, training, arming and launching of misguided Baloch like Naela Quadri to destabilise Pakistan and derail the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Earlier, Canada-based Naela Quadri was barred from boarding a flight from Montreal to Geneva for participating in a protest on the sidelines of the UNHRC events.

In an interview with ‘Just Earth News’, Naela Quadri Baloch stated: “We will continue our struggle, and inform all the countries and their lawmakers of how Pakistan is now trying to occupy Balochistan with the help of China. The two nations are collaborating by building a collection of infrastructure projects worth around $46 billion meant to deepen economic ties between China and Pakistan.” For some time, US congressmen have been propagating against Pakistan. On 17th February 2012, US Congressman Dana Rohrabacher had introduced a resolution in the US House of Representatives, calling upon Pakistan to recognise the Baloch right to self- determination. The motion had been co-sponsored by House Representatives Louie Gohmert and Steve King. The proposed bill had favoured Baloch rights of self-determination and affording an opportunity to choose their own status of a sovereign state.

Though US government had distanced from them, yet there is a perception that the protagonists of the Baloch Liberation Movement have the blessings of the US government. This Great Game of the US strategic map-makers has been in full play in Balochistan province for quite some time. World maps, showing Pakistan all splintered up, and Balochistan province merging with Iran’s Sistan-Balochistan region making a Greater Balochistan, were published. But situation in Balochistan has been addressed at political level; an elected government was put in place; fresh elections are underway and incidence of insurgency has also declined.

People of Balochistan are known for their patriotism; and will never be deterred by violent activities of separatists. The motion in the US Congress had been co-sponsored by House Representatives Louie Gohmert and Steve King. The proposed bill had favoured Baloch rights of self-determination and suggested to afford people of Balochistan an opportunity to choose their own status of a sovereign state. Such resolutions moved by a tiny minority may not have any importance, but they bring Pakistan and its institutions into disrepute. Despite the vile acts of rivaling eyes, Balochistan is gaining stability under political government, and people of Balochistan elect their representatives regularly. Pakistan military and agencies with the support of the people of Balochistan have frustrated sinister designs of detractors of Pakistan. Yet, Pakistan has to be watchful of India, which is still trying to fan terrorism, violence, militancy, linguistic hatred and inter-provincial disharmony to sabotage the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project with known agents provocateurs of the ilk of Naela Quadri, who are now establishing Free Balochistan premises in New Delhi.

The followers of Naela Quadri should ask her if the CPEC is bringing prosperity to Balochistan, wont the Baloch benefit from it and their quality of life will improve. Why does she and others of her ilk want to deprive her own Baloch brothers and sisters from reaping the fruits of development and progress?
