ISLAMABAD: The land dispute took four lives in the federal capital, Islamabad but the police could not register the case even after a lapse of almost a day.
The four bodyguards of a local leader of Pakistan People’s Party, Chaudhry Khurshid were murdered on the matter of acquiring land for the Gulberg Housing Society. The incident took place at a quarter made for guards at 20 kanal piece of controversial land in Bangiyal, suburb village of Islamabad, under the jurisdiction of Koral police station. Due to firing, all the four deceased died on spot.
The Station House Officer (SHO) of the Police Station, Muhammad Arshad said that two dead bodies were found from the inside the quarter while two were laying outside. He said that there were seven persons, but out of the four were killed while remaining three vanish from the crime scene. He said that Chaudhary Khurshid did not submit any application yet in the police station in this regard. The SHO said that police have transferred the dead bodies to the hospital where their autopsy has been completed. The four persons who were killed were identified as Raheem Khan, Abdul Ghani, Yasir and Razzaq
“The investigation of the case is being carried out by keeping all the aspects in mind and if Chaudhary Khurshid would not give any application for taking action against the murderers, then the police would register the case on behalf the state.
On the other hand, the when this scribe contacted PPP leader Chaudhary Khurshid , he said that there were six people on the crime scene and two ran away for saving their lives and they both are eyewitness of the cold blooded murder.
He said that according to eye witnesses , three alleged killers including Shamraiz Anwar, Zahid and Raja Munir killed the four of his guards. He said that the land where the murders took place was in his possession where killers entered forcibly on gun points.
He said that under a contract with the management of Gulburg Housing Society , he sells the land to the society and he purchased the piece of land where the crime was occurred for the same purpose. The killers had possession of adjacent land next to crime scene.
