LAHORE: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari’s aircraft on Friday was not allowed to depart to Peshawar from Lahore airport by the authorities.
According to Bilawal’s spokesman Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, “The chairman was supposed to fly out to Peshawar today (on Friday), however, they did not let the aircraft take off for departure.”
He further said that the aircraft of “blue-eyed” Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan had departed from the airport just a few hours ago.
“Civil Aviation Authority let Imran Khan’s plane leave for Peshawar, but not Bilawal’s,” the spokesman said.
Mustafa Nawaz also urged the Election Commission of Pakistan to take notice of this behaviour and probe into the matter against the relevant authorities.
“The caretaker government and the authorities have shown prejudice towards Bilawal and we would request the ECP to take note of this,” he said.
