Safe City Project helps recover three abducted women

ISLAMABAD: Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Islamabad Police along with Koral police team has recovered three abducted women after a raid in Ghori town area following the information provided by Safe City Project staff.

On July 11, 2018, Safe City Project received information about the kidnapping of Salma Bibi resident of Taxila who was shifted to Islamabad after the abduction.

Following this information, SP (Investigation) Zubair Ahmed Sheikh constituted a police team including Inspector Abdul Sattar, Sub-Inspector Altaf Hussain, ASIs Kamal Khan, Iftikhar Ahmed and others.

This police team got assistance from technical police team and on Thursday, they conducted a raid in the area of Ghori town from where it recovered Salma Bibi and two abducted women identified as Saira Bibi resident of Nankana Sab and Sana Bibi resident of Mandia town, Faisalabad.

These women were kept in habeas corpus there and police arrested Naeem Hasnain resident of Muzaffargarh from there.

During the preliminary investigation, Salma Bibi told that she is a permanent resident of Taxila and was kidnapped from Chohr Chowk, Rawalpindi, two days before.

Police have started an investigation into the matter after registering the case at Koral police station.

SSP (Operations) Najeeb-ur-Rehman Bugvi has appreciated this performance and directed to ensure a speedy investigation into the case. He has also announced cash prizes and commendation certificates for the police team.
