Madhuri Dixit and SRK reminisce about ‘Devdas’ on its 16th anniversary

As Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus, Devdas, completes 16 years, Madhuri Dixit Nene, who essayed the role of the stunning ‘Chandramukhi’ got nostalgic and shared a throwback picture of herself with Shah Rukh Khan and director Bhansali from the sets.

“Throwback to #Devdas which will always be a film very close to my heart! From working with all the talented actors and technicians to the dances, to wearing some of the finest outfits and excellent performances. It was so much fun to be a part of this beautifully crafted film.”

Retweeting the picture, Shah Rukh responded, “And you will always be close to our hearts…you will always be the one jisne ‘Maar Daala!,”

The 2002 romantic saga had not only grabbed the attention of the domestic audience, but it was also well-received overseas with the viewers mesmerized by the stunning visuals, sets and costumes.

The movie was also nominated for the BAFTA Award for Best Foreign Language Film.

Along with Shah Rukh and Madhuri, Jackie Shroff, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Kirron Kher were also part of the film.
