FIA arrests human trafficker responsible for death of 11 migrants

LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested a human trafficker responsible for death of 11 Pakistani migrants when a boat capsized a couple of months earlier.

The accused Qaiser was involved in sending Pakistani people abroad by receiving a huge sum of money from them.

At least 90 people, including 11 Pakistani nationals, died on February 1, in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Libya, the UN migration agency said.

The culprit had fled to India after the incident and upon his returned he was arrested by the FIA.

A case has been registered against the detainee at concerned FIA police station and he was being investigated.
