KARACHI: Anti Car Lifting Cell (ACLC) here on Wednesday conducted an operation at KDA Chowrangi in North Nazimabad area and arrested four wanted car lifters and recovered five snatched vehicles from their possession.
The arrested accused were identified as Farooq Ahmad alias Umer Sheikh s/o Ameer Sheikh, Irfan Ali Jatoi s/o Muhammad Roshan Jatoi, Hafeez Ullah Beer s/o Hamza Khan and Wahid Bux s/o Sadiq Khan, said a statement issued by ACLC.
They used to shift the snatched and stolen vehicles to other parts of Sindh and Balochistan.
The accused had snatched 150 vehicles so far, they were involved in vehicles snatching and stealing incidents in Gulistan-e-Johar, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, F.B. Area, Nazimabad, Gulberg, Nagan Chowrangi and Water Pump areas.
A car number BKY-430 was snatched from Shadman area on July 7, which was also recovered from their possession.
Four vehicles whose cases of lifting were registered in different police stations were also recovered which include two high-roof GS-9311 and CK-6086 and two cars BMG-205 and V-0516.
The ACLC team also recovered two pistols from the possession of arrested accused.
