RAWALPINDI: Security forces on Monday conducted intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in South and North Waziristan to seize a heavy cache of weapons, ISPR said.
During the operations, a large number of arms and ammunition, and explosives including prepared improvised explosive devices (IEDs), heavy machine guns, bullets, sub-machine guns, rockets, grenades, ignitors communication equipment and other weapons were recovered.
The operations were conducted as part of Pakistan Army’s countrywide Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad. The security forces received a tip-off before they carried out the raid.
