LONDON – There was shock and awe in the Sharif family as Captain (r) Safdar finally outperformed the members of his family in something by coming out of the Avenfield case with only a year in prison and a disqualification.

“We’re stumped” said Maryam Nawaz speaking exclusively to The Dependent.

“I mean I know I chose him and all, but come on, I am clearly out of his league” she went on to say.

“He has never in his life been better at anything than me, or anyone else in the family for that matter. I have better marks in both matric and inter and he refuses to tell me whether he even passed his BA or not.”

“My father is in shock too. But that is perhaps the only silverlining. He was always saying how I married someone useless but I guess Safdar showed daddy” she said.

Maryam Nawaz also went on to say that she was restless to return to Pakistan to first congratulate her husband and then to ask him, and we quote, “How even did you not get at least 8. I mean, they gave an easier time to you?”

Meanwhile, Captain Safdar was reached for comment but was unavailable for comment. His office’s voice machine kept playing saying something about yahoodi sazishain.
