LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) senior leader and former deputy prime minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi on Saturday said the general elections would change the fate of the nation.
Speaking to delegations of former Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) youth and traders wings, which announced to join PML-Q, he said the court had given its verdict and now the people should end the politics of Sharifs and PML-N on July 2.
“The decision of the people should end their [PML-N’s] tenure of oppression, highhandedness and arrogance forever,” he said.
“PML-N is heading towards its logical end,” he stated.
The PML-Q leader said that people were now drawing comparisons between PML-Q and PML-N’s tenures and were realising that his party “changed the map of the province with its development works”.
“Vote for tractor on July 25 and send PML-N packing.”
“Workers of PML-Q and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) should run the election campaign together and their solidarity should be visible,” he added.
Arshad Butt, Imran Butt, Omar Butt, Amjad Masood, Asghar Tail Wala, Hasnain Asghar, Naeem Anwar, Shehzad Gul, Raja Mubashir Iqbal and Syed Manzar Shah were present at the occasion.
