RAWALPINDI: At least 400 prisoners in Adiala Jail have applied for postal ballots in light of the upcoming general elections.

Moreover, there are at least 150 women prisoners in the jail that do not have computerised national identity cards (CNICs).

Application for the postal ballots would be forwarded to the district returning officer (DRO) concerned.

Moreover, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) would only issue ballot papers for those inmates that are eligible to cast the vote.
