RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has declared the Ring Road Residencia (RRR) as an illegal project.
RDA Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MPTE) Director Jamshaid Aftab said that the illegal and the unauthorised advertisement was displayed by the society. He said that the legal action was being initiated against RRR under the Punjab Private Housing schemes and the Land Subdivision Rules 2010 and directed the housing scheme to stop the illegal advertisements.
RDA advised the general public that they should not make any investment in unauthorized housing schemes and buildings projects which have been declared as illegal by the RDA. Otherwise, those making the investments would be responsible themselves for their own losses.
RDA spokesman Hafiz Muhammad Irfan said that RDA Director General (DG) Rao Atif Raza has directed the MPTE Directorate to take strict action against all illegal housing schemes, illegal and unauthorised commercial and residential construction activities and encroachments without any fear or favour.
