NAB recovers cash, vehicles from house of SBCA DDG

KARACHI: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Karachi Friday’s night raided the residence of Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) Deputy Director General (DDG) recovering several luxury vehicles, cash and assets.

The search operation was carried out after taking search warrant from the judicial magistrate in an inquiry against the accused person in F.B Area, who is on protective bail from Sindh High Court (SHC) in a corruption case.

The NAB official said the search of his house was conducted on information for the purpose of tracing and recovering of alleged illegal assets.

The accused has been inquired for the allegations of accumulation of assets beyond known sources of income and living beyond means.

Earlier on Wednesday, the accused has assumed the charge of SBCA. He has held different important positions in SBCA.

The NAB recovered vehicle Mercedes C-Class, Toyota Prernio Suzuki Swift, documents of Land Cruiser Cash/prize bonds Rs 5.5 million, Plots of worth more than Rs500 million, three properties in Dubai and Bank accounts with available balance of Rs50 million.
