Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has reportedly decided to take disciplinary action against its members that are planning to contest the upcoming polls as independent candidates because they have “violated discipline”.
The party said in a press statement that a two-member disciplinary committee would take action against party members who planned to contest as independent candidates because they were not issues party tickets.
The disciplinary committee comprises Arshad Dad and Naeemul Haq.
Party members had sworn an oath that if they did not get a party ticket from the PTI they would not contest the upcoming general elections, according to the statement.
