RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Navy ship “PNS Aslat” visited Port Aqaba in Jordan on Monday in order to strengthen the cordial relationship and defence cooperation between the two countries.
The officers of Royal Jordan Naval forces and Pakistani Defence Attaché in Jordan warmly received the ship upon its arrival.
On the occasion, the mission commander interacted with the Chief of Naval Staff of Jordan, Director General of Maritime Commission, Deputy Chief Commissioner and Deputy Governor Aqaba to discuss professional matters between Jordan and Pakistan.
It was reported by the Navy that joint exercises were held on the PNS Aslat, between Naval forces of both the countries.
The Navy spokesperson said that the aim of this visit is to strengthen friendly and defence relations between Jordan and Pakistan, while the Naval Academy has always played a key role in naval diplomacy with the participation of goodwill visits and multi-purpose exercises.
