Woman allegedly kidnapped, gang-raped at gunpoint in Faisalabad


FAISALABAD: A woman was allegedly kidnapped before being gang-raped in Ghulam Muhammadabad area of Faisalabad, media reports said on Sunday.

Police said that victim’s brother lodged a complaint at the police station in which he claimed that his sister was allegedly kidnapped by more than three accused. He added that they took her to an undisclosed location and gang-raped her at gunpoint for several days.

He maintained that after committing the offence, the accused threw her at Baba Qaim Sain’s Darbar near Faisalabad in unconscious condition. As a result of repeated rape, the victim became pregnant, her brother said in his statement.

He added that the accused were also hurling life threats to him and his family. He requested the police and higher authorities to take action against the criminals and provide justice to him.  He also demanded police to award exemplary punishment to the accused.

Meanwhile, the police have registered a case under section 365-B against the culprits and started investigation. The police said no arrests were made so far, but efforts are underway to nab the criminals.
