ISLAMABAD: Former finance minister Shaukat Tareen on Saturday knocked the Supreme Court’s (SC) door against a corruption reference against him prepared by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB)regarding the Rental Power Projects (RPPs).
Tareen counsel, Salman Butt, requested the SC to revoke the reference against his client and declare it illegal.
The petition entered by Tareen also said that the National Accountability Ordinance (NAO) had expired in light of Article 89.
NAB had prepared the reference in 2014.
