ISLAMABAD: A former National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) deputy director and a former NADRA deputy chairman were booked in a case pertaining to the stealing of sensitive records and data of the authority.
The incidents occurred at NADRA headquarters (HQ) and police lodged two separate cases on the complaint of NADRA HQ Chief Of Staff (COS) colonel (R) Tahir Maqsood Khan.
The First Information Report (FIR) against the former NADRA deputy chairman said that he allegedly took sensitive information with him when he was dismissed from service.
The former NADRA deputy director allegedly stole the authority’s financial information, flash drives and laptops, according to the FIR.
Police booked both persons under Section 380 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).
