KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM-P) leader Dr Farooq Sattar on Saturday offered to withdraw his party candidates against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif, if they grant some part of their provinces’ budget to Karachi.
Speaking to the media, Sattar stated that justice must be served to Karachi by equal distribution of resources to the port city.
The MQM-P stalwart asserted that he played no role in the ticket selection process. Furthermore, Sattar added that the selection was carried out by Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and MQM-P Rabita Committee.
“I am the captain but the selector is someone else. I will withdraw from the elections if Rabita Committee asks me for it,” Sattar said.
“Our election campaign begins at the end. We work with patience and perseverance. Our voters are organised,” declared Sattar.
“Voters complain in every election however now it is all caught on camera due to the presence of media,” Sattar referred to a recent video that went viral over the irk crowd questioning his performance in their constituency.
