The national flag carrier had sought applications for the post of PIA (Pakistan International Airlines) HR chief from Pakistani citizens but amazingly appointed a British national Asma Bajwa on the post, reported a private TV news channel.
It is pertinent to mention here that Asma Bajwa does not have Pakistani nationality or domicile. She was appointed on a salary above Rs1.5 million.
A PIA spokerperson said that Asma Bajwa’s appointment at the post was in accordance with rules.
