Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor and daughter Sonam Kapoor’s first film together, Ek Ladki ko Dekha toh aisa laga‘s’ teaser has dropped and it is adorable, to say the least.
The film which brings back Juhi Chawla and also starres Rajkummar Rao opens with snippets from Anil’s 1942: A Love Story, which redefined the meaning of romance in Bollywood. The teaser then fast forwards to 2018 and proclaims the present day happenings to be “a syaapa love story.”
The short teaser put the father-daughter duo in the spotlight and it is absolutely heartwarming and magical to watch the two onscreen together.
Sharing the teaser, Sonam wrote on Twitter, “Pyaar mein syaapa nahi kiya, toh kya pyaar kiya?”

Earlier in the day, Sonam shared the first look poster and tweeted, “Sweety Chaudhary: Quiet one | Punjabi | Syaapa.”

Directed by debutant director Shelly Chopra Dhar, sister of renowned producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra, the film is a story set in Punjab and has originally been shot in Patiala. The film appears to be a family drama based on the backdrop of a love story and explores the father-daughter relationship. Sonam’s character seems to a mix of her characters in Khoobsurat and Aisha.
Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga will be produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Rajkumar Hirani Films in association with Fox Star Studios and is scheduled for release on October 12.
