FAISALABAD: Another case of minor sexual abuse surfaced on Wednesday when a seven-year-old girl was kidnapped and raped in Faisalabad’s Islampura area.
According to a local media report, the police said that the victim went to a nearby shop to purchase items. Upon arrival, the shop owner, identified as 50-year-old Faqeer Hussain forcibly took her to his house and raped her.
Following this, the suspect fled from the scene, leaving the girl injured, who was discovered by the people from the neighbourhood and immediately shifted her to a local hospital for treatment.
According to the medical reports, it has been confirmed that the girl was subjected to sexual assault. Moreover, police had registered a case against the accused and took him into custody.
The police officials further stated that during interrogation, the accused confessed to committing the offence, while further investigation was underway.
