The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) on Thursday announced the final result of CSS Competitive Examination 2017.
According to the notification, merit list of 310 candidates has been issued out of which 261 candidates have been recommended for appointment posts in BPS-17 under the federal government in Pakistan Administrative Services (PAS), Office Management Group (OMG), Police Service of Pakistan (PSP), Foreign Services of Pakistan and others eight groups.
Muhammad Awaid Irshad and Adeel Akbar from Punjab clinched the first and second position in CSS 2017 and succeed to get PAS and PSP group.
According to details, a total of 9391 students appeared for the CSS examination 2017, with only 312 managing to pass, resulting in a passing percentage of 3.32 per cent.
Among the 312, finally, 310 candidates qualified after Viva Voce. 155 male and 106 female candidates succeed in the final exam.
As per rules of FPSC, the results of the passing candidates will remain withheld until their allocation. The rejected candidates can view their result later on the FPSC’s website.
It is worth mentioning here that only 379 candidates out of 12,176 passed the CSS examination in 2016, a 3.02 pass percentage.
