FAISALABAD: A man has been accused of repeatedly raping her 15-year-old daughter for the last seven months in Faisalabad’s Chak Jhumra area, reported a private media outlet.
According to reports, the victim’s mother lodged a complaint at the police station in which she stated that she works as a maid in the area, while her husband works as a labourer at a factory.
She alleged that her husband had sexually abusing their daughter for the last seven months while she was alone at the house. The woman stated in her complaint that as a result of the repeated rape, her daughter had become pregnant.
She said that the accused has also threatened their daughter of dire consequences if she told about the ordeal to anyone.
The victim’s mother said that when the news spread in the village, the villagers took the matter to panchayat. She said the panchayat members visited her home and asked her to keep the matter secret as it could bring bad name to the family.
She said that the panchayat also pressurised her to not take action against her accused husband.
Meanwhile, the police have registered an FIR under sections 376, 506 and 176 against the accused and started investigation.
