KARACHI: Rain is expected in the metropolitan city during the week as monsoon system approaches.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the city is likely to receive rain on Thursday and Friday, along with the rest of the country.
Meanwhile, rain along with wind and thunderstorm is expected on Tuesday in isolated places in Multan, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, Sukkur, Larkana, Sh. Benazirabad and Bannu, D.I. Khan, D.G. Khan.
Mainly hot and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country.
During past 24hours, the weather remained hot and dry in most parts of Pakistan. However, rain with gusty winds occurred in Faisalabad, Zhob Divisions, DG Khan, Malakand, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir.
The MeT has predicted monsoon beginning from July 1 in Islamabad, KP, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and Punjab.
