LAHORE: Social Welfare & Baitul Maal (SW&BM) Caretaker Minister Chaudhary Faisal Mushtaq on Monday said that SW&BM was playing an important role in making the physically impaired persons useful citizens of the society.
Speaking during his visit to the Social Welfare Complex where he visited different institutes; Chaman, Gehwara, Aafiat, Darul Falah and Darul Sukun, he expressed satisfaction over the facilities available for the residents of the complex.
The minister also appreciated the services of the officers and officials of the department for their services toward the people enrolled in the complex. To provide better medical treatment to the disabled persons there, the minister assured to hire the services of specialists.
He also distributed gifts among children.
Social Welfare Department Director General Sajid Zafar, Lahore Director Faiz Naeem Waraich, Social Welfare Training Institute Principal Hafiz Muhammad Akram and other officers were also present at the occasion.
