ISLAMABAD: The police have failed to arrest the hotel owners whose staff allegedly assaulted a Punjab Food Authority (PFA) team near Murree.

On Saturday, a Punjab Food Authority (PFA) team, headed by Food Authority Director General Noorul Amin Mengal, was attacked and held hostage near Murree. The team was ultimately rescued by the police.

According to the PFA DG, the untoward incident had occurred due to the noncooperation and negligence of the police.

It is worth mentioning that the team was attacked after raiding a five-star hotel in Bhurban. The hotel staff had first threatened the team and then held them hostage after assaulting them. The PFA team had imposed a fine of Rs0.5 million to the five-star hotel that is reportedly owned by Raja Hanif.
